DESCRIPTION:As one of the featured events of the upcoming Newark Arts Festival\, the Newark Short Film Awards will be held on Saturday\, October 12\, 2019. The NSFA is presented in partnership with Express Newark and NYC Filmmakers in the Newark historic and redeveloped Hahnes building located at 54 Halsey Street\, Newark\, New Jersey. \nIn addition to the Awards Ceremony\, this is a full Day of Creativity providing filmmaking and improvisation workshops\, networking events\, entertainment\, and an overall support system for artists\, actors\, composers\, directors\, writers\, stagehands\, operators and filmmakers. \nFilms may be submitted in the categories of Web Series\, Documentary\, Narrative\, Student Film\, and Comedy. \nIncluded in the day’s program’s lineup are continuous movie screenings\, and Filmmaking workshops\, and a Networking Session that will provide an opportunity to converse and share information and promote individual specialties within the film industry. \nThis event is designed for all artists interested and working in and around the filmmaking industry and for Movie Lovers alike. SUMMARY:The Newark International Film Festival's 24 Hour Film Competition & Screening
DESCRIPTION:The NEWARKIFF would like to invite you to the first annual 24-hour film competition. Teams from around the Tri-State area will compete for the chance to brag about being the best film crew around. Teams will pick up instructions on June 7th and will have 24 hours 1 day\, to shoot a short film of two to four minutes in length. All films will be original and new with a theme added by the festival committee. The teams will then submit their films on June 8th to be checked and logged by the festival team. On June 8th all films will be screened during the NEWARKIFF PRESENTS Screening Mixer and judged.
