SUMMARY:Taylor Miller & Fury in Conversation
DESCRIPTION:The exhibition\, Stitches of Strength\, is a collaboration between the Paul Robeson Galleries and the Office for Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance. \nThe squares that constitute the quilt on view are part of the Clothesline Project on the Rutgers University – Newark campus. The colorful t-shirt material and denim squares represent sexual violence and intimate partner violence in various forms. This quilt is upheld\, both literally and figuratively\, by stitches of strength. \nTaylor Miller will discuss the curatorial process and provide prevention information. Fury\, likewise\, will discuss practical ways to engage these ideas and the people it affects. \nThe conversation will be followed by a pop-up shop curated by Fury\, in Room 312/ Workshop 2.
