Express Newark invites artists of all levels to engage with its dynamic studios, innovative programs, and enriching residencies. Artist Residencies

“I’ve had an incredible time learning about 3D printing. The opportunity to interact with Keary and Alessandra as artists and as individuals has expanded my horizons by greatly improving my understanding of the materials in this new medium.  They have guided me through explorations of aluminum etchings, sand casting, and plaster relief sculpture. It has also been meaningful to work alongside the students, as an artist and as a student myself, while I engaged with these new mediums.”

We offer yearlong artist and curatorial residencies by invitation, providing a unique opportunity for selected individuals to deepen their practice in a supportive environment. These residencies are designed to foster collaboration, experimentation, and community engagement, allowing artists and curators to explore new ideas and develop their work in a vibrant setting.
